Canva announced their new Glow Up interface on May 23, 2024 and if you were one of the lucky million users to opt-in for early access to the new layout, you may be finding that certain features you were accustomed to using on the regular basis are a little harder to find.
In particular, I’ve heard from Canva users who regularly rely on the “info” icon to locate additional details about a specific element in use in a design.

The element information icon appears as an “i” info symbol and clicking on this icon reveals important information about the element, such as:
- The name or title of the element.
- Information about the creator of the element, with an option to view more by that creator.
- Details on how you can use the element, including whether it’s a free or Pro element and any licensing or attribution requirements.
- Relevant tags and keywords associated with the element, which can help you find similar items.
Plus it provides some additional options related to the selected element.
If you’ve ever used this feature and are wondering where it’s gone in Canva’s new Glow Up layout, here’s how to find it.
Select your element in your design and then click on the double chevron arrow to open the editing panel.
Then you’ll want to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the editing panel and that’s where you’ll currently find the info icon.
I will admit that I am not a fan of this new location, as it slows down my workflow, and from what I’m hearing, it’s slowing down the workflow of a lot of Canva users.
So let’s keep our fingers crossed that the info icon will be moved to a more accessible location in the Canva editor in the near future.
