Imagine you’re working on a design in Canva, and partway through, you realize it’s no longer needed.
Maybe it’s a draft you were experimenting with, or the project direction has changed, and the design is now irrelevant.
Instead of exiting the editor and navigating through your Canva folders to delete the design, you can now remove it directly from within the design editor itself—a much more convenient option.
To delete your design while you’re still working on it, simply go to the File menu in the upper left-hand corner of the editor.
From there, you’ll see the option to Move to Trash. When you select it, Canva will ask you to confirm whether you really want to trash the design and to remind you that this action isn’t permanent right away. You’ll have 30 days to restore the design from the trash if you change your mind or need it back.
