It’s easy to accumulate a lot of uploaded fonts in Canva over time, especially if you’ve added custom typefaces for different clients, short-term projects, or older versions of your brand. Once you no longer need them, you may decide you want to tidy things up and remove any fonts you’re not actively using.
Here’s where many people get stuck: you can’t delete fonts from the font menu inside the Canva editor. That list only shows what’s available for use, not where the files are managed, and to actually delete fonts, you’ll need to do it through your Brand Kit.
A side note that you’re only going to be able to delete your uploaded fonts, not any of the ones that come standard with Canva.
To delete any uploaded fonts, you’re going to go to your Brand section, then select Brand Kits and find the relevant brand kit containing your uploaded font. Scroll down to the Fonts section and click on Manage uploaded fonts, and then you’ll see a list of all the custom fonts you’ve added.
Next to each uploaded font, there’s a small trash can icon. Click the icon beside the font you want to remove, confirm that you want to delete it, and Canva will take care of the rest.
There are plenty of reasons to clear out old fonts — maybe a client project has wrapped up, your visual identity has evolved, or you simply want to streamline what appears in your font menu.
It’s worth noting that if you’ve downgraded to Canva’s free plan, you won’t be able to access your uploaded fonts to manage or delete them since the brand kit access is only available to Canva Pro, Teams, Education, and Nonprofit accounts.
