As part of the Canva World Tour announcements on October 30th, Canva introduced Video 2.0, a brand-new video editing experience designed to give creators more control with a multi-track timeline and improved editing tools.

But if you’ve opened a video design recently and prefer the classic editor you’re used to, you can still turn off the new experience for now.

To do that, click your profile and choose the Settings option. Scroll down on the Your Profile page until you see the Video editing section. Underneath it, there’s an option labelled “Use new multi-track video editor (beta)” with a toggle beside it. If the toggle is turned on, you’re using the new Video 2.0 editor. Simply switch it off, and Canva will revert your account back to the classic video editor instead.

At the time of publishing this video, the option to revert to the classic video editor is available, but Canva hasn’t indicated whether it will remain long-term. It’s possible that everyone will eventually be migrated to the new experience, but for now, you can switch back if you’d prefer not to make the change yet.
